NYCC: All the Supernatural connections at the 2019 convention
Supernatural isn’t attending NYCC 2019 but that doesn’t mean you can’t get an SPN fix. There are some guests who have a Supernatural connection.
Sadly, we won’t get to see the main Supernatural stars at NYCC 2019. This isn’t all that surprising, as the show doesn’t make an appearance at the October con. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t get to see some SPN connections at the event.
There are five guests with a connection to the series. Three of those guests also have a connection to another fan-favorite fantasy series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. While some are only there for autographs, there is at least one panel you’re going to want to pay attention to.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel meets Supernatural
The three guest stars from the other fantasy universe are Amy Acker, Charisma Carpenter, and James Marsters.
Wait, when were they in an episode? Carpenter and Marsters were in the Season 7 episode “Shut Up, Dr. Phil.” You know, many of us would love to know where the Starks are years later.
More from Supernatural

Amy Acker’s character was in an episode in the very first season. She played Andrea in the third episode of the series, “Dead in the Water.” You remember the woman whose husband had been killed in the lake and it turned out to be a secret her father had kept for decades, right?
The three are all going to be part of the Angel 20th anniversary panel taking place on Oct. 5 at the Hammerstein Ballroom at 10:30 a.m. They’re joined by Alexis Denisof and J. August Richards. Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Clare Kramer will moderate the panel.
Meet Robbie Thompson
One of the Supernatural writers you need to meet if you haven’t already is Robbie Thompson. Not only was he a writer on the series, but he has a producer credit in some form for 94 episodes of the series. Thompson wrote 18 episodes of the series, starting with “Slash Fiction.” His last writer credit is for “Don’t Call Me Shurley.”
When it comes to Supernatural writers, Thompson is one of the greatest to meet. He’ll answer your questions and even sign autographs. I got the chance to meet him at C2E2 in 2017 and he was ever so respectful.
While the other guests have panels, Thompson will be at Artists’ Alley.
Rachel Miner will be at NYCC 2019
Finally, it’s all about Rachel Miner. Yes, our own Meg is going to be at New York Comic-Con 2019. You’ll get to see her at two panels during the weekend, with the first taking place on Oct. 3. It’s a D&D-themed panel called “Roleplaying a Human,” looking at the impact of tabletop RPG games. Head to Room 1A21 at 12:30 p.m. local time.
She’ll then be at the con on Saturday, for the “Next Gen Nerds” Panel. The focus will be on one generation of nerds passing on the geeky culture to the next generation. Head back to Room 1A21 at 8 p.m. for this panel.
