Mark your calendars! We know when Georgie and Mandy's wedding is coming on Young Sheldon season 7

Wedding bells are near for Young Sheldon season 7! There's been lots of ups and downs for Georgie and Mandy, but they've finally found common ground and are on the same page. The couple is ready to get married, having gotten officially engaged in the season 6 finale. And now, we're getting the wedding episode sooner than we thought!

The Georgie and Mandy wedding episode airs Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. That's only a couple of weeks away! This will be the seventh installment of the season, the exact halfway point of the 14-episode final season of Young Sheldon. There was initial news that the wedding could be coming at some point halfway through the season, but I didn't think it would be exactly episode 7! We thought the comedy-drama could potentially end the series with the wedding, but it looks more likely now that we might have to deal with George's dreaded death storyline towards the end instead.

"Georgie and Mandy get married! Meanwhile, Meemaw’s gambling room gets raided."

It looks like we're going with a courthouse wedding for Mandy and Georgie. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I wasn't expecting a big, lavish wedding for the two. Though I did think that the show would have made a bit more of an event out of it. Especially with the iconic and memorable The Big Bang Theory weddings. Though I'm predicting there's actually a reason for that.

In next week's installment (episode 6) when Young Sheldon season 7 returns on Thursday, April 4, the synopsis reads "Georgie and Mandy's wedding plans pit Mary against Mandy's mom, Audrey, with baby CeeCee caught in the middle." The episode title is also called "Baptists, Catholics and an Attempted Drowning." We know that Mary is Baptist, which means Audrey is Catholic. I have a hunch that the two mothers have differing ideas of how Mandy and Georgie should do their wedding, so they end up compromising and making it simple with a courthouse wedding instead. What do you think?

One person noticeably absent from the above group image is Sheldon. I mean, I know that the young genius doesn't necessarily care about love and marriage (at least not for a while!), but you'd think he'd attend his own brother's wedding. Or his family would make him at least. Hmm. If it does turn out to be the case, I don't like that Sheldon isn't there to be honest. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens in the episode.

Finally, Connie and Georgie's gambling room is going to face some trouble. Now raided could mean two things - either the cops show up and shut the place down, or someone/a group come in to steal from the business. In season 7 episode 2, it was hinted that a group called the Dixie Mafia could come a-knocking, causing trouble for the grandma/grandson-run business. Interesting, interesting.
