In an hour, we’ll be sitting down to watch the Supernatural Season 13 finale. In two hours, the season will be done. That story that we started with in October 2017–well, the story that was set up this time last year in the Season 12 finale–will be done and dusted. It will be time to look forward to Season 14. But before we do that, it’s time to look at the Supernatural Inside.
Like with every week, Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb sit down to discuss the episode. Singer, who has been with this show from the beginning, shares that there’s a cliffhanger coming that fans won’t expect. We all have this feeling Heaven will crumble and we know Jensen Ackles will get to play someone new, so what could it be?

Rather than try to guess, how about focusing on something else in this Supernatural Inside clip. There’s a sneak at Jack’s storyline. While many may worry that he will blame Sam for leaving Lucifer trapped in the Apocalypse World, it looks like he’s just still struggling to deal with those he has lost. There are flashes of when Apocalypse Kevin became a suicide bomber for Apocalypse Michael. That is going to stick with our nephilim.

It’s worth pointing out that he’s not the first to feel this way. We’ve watched Dean, Sam, and Cass struggle with the knowledge that they couldn’t save people. Sometimes they’ve been friends and other times they’ve been strangers. Either way, this moment is bittersweet. As sad as it is, it’s going to further cement Jack into the Winchester family.
