5 things we want to see from Charlie in Supernatural Season 14

Supernatural Season 14 filming has officially started. Now it’s time to look at what we want from the characters. For #WomanCrushWednesday, let’s start with Charlie Bradbury.

While our own Charlie may still be gone, Apocalypse Charlie has made her way into the to the Winchester’s world. The last we heard, she and Rowena were on a road trip, which is where we may find her at the start of Supernatural Season 14. As filming for the series has started and it’s #WomanCrushWednesday, now is the perfect time to look at Charlie and what we want to see from her.

There are five important things to see from this character throughout the season. Remember that this isn’t the Charlie we’re used to. She has different memories and a different upbringing, which leads us straight to the first thing.

5. A little more about her background

How exactly did Charlie grow up? What is she interested in and what did she do before the apocalypse happened? Apocalypse Charlie was clearly a leader and a strong-willed, independent character–more like our Charlie in Seasons 9 and 10 rather than the Charlie we first met in the Leviathan years. What made her become this person?

Finding out more about her is important to understand her now. We want to figure out who she is; the type of person she is. Based on Apocalypse Bobby, while some of the upbringing and events are different, the personality is very much the same. Let’s hope that’s the case for Charlie.

4. How her road trip with Rowena is going

The last we left Charlie, she was on a road trip with Rowena. This is one of those partnerships you wouldn’t have been able to see work with our own Charlie, but totally makes sense with this Apocalypse Charlie. Of course, now I really want to know what the two are up to.

Does this mean Apocalypse Charlie has some experience in the occult? What type of friendship or relationship do she and Rowena have together? Are they hunting together? This wouldn’t just be interesting to see this new Charlie but to also see what Rowena is up to. After all, she really turned a corner last season so it will be interesting to see how she’s doing now.

3. Help out the Winchesters again

It’s always fun to see someone the Winchesters know pop up for a case. Sometimes this is planned and other times the right person just happens to be there. Can we see Apocalypse Charlie become one of these characters? Will she stick around in Supernatural Season 14 (and beyond if/when that happens) as one of those guest-stars?

There’s always something the Winchesters will need help with. While they are excellent hunters, they’re not perfect and they can’t handle everything themselves. They’ve called for help from the likes of Bobby, Rowena, Jody, Ellen, Kevin, and Charlie in the past. Now it’s time for Apocalypse Charlie to become one of those characters.

2. How she’ll react to Michael!Dean

Apocalypse Michael was a big part of Charlie’s life. He destroyed the world she lived in and likely made her into the woman she is. It’s clear that she wanted to take this archangel down. Now she has a chance, but it’s in the vessel of the man who helped save her from execution. She technically owes Dean her life.

All those from the Apocalypse World are going to find themselves in a difficult position. They know they want to take down Michael, but do they want to do it at the expense of someone they know? This should then bring up a conversation about killing people they don’t know but saving those they do–although it probably won’t! Seeing Charlie’s reaction to Michael!Dean is certainly going to be interesting.

1. Stay alive!

The most important thing to see from Charlie is for her to stay alive. We’ve already lost her once and we definitely don’t want to lose her again. This is the chance for the Supernatural writers to right an extremely important wrong. I don’t have much hope with how Apocalypse Kevin was used, but there’s always a chance.

I’d happily just hear about what she’s doing and keep her off screen than see her die. In fact, I’d even be happy with not hearing about her much just to know that she’s somewhere safe!
